She has a secret…
Mystery writer Desiree Davidson has been swept into a situation wilder than any she ever dreamed up in her books. She’s hiding out in a rundown house in Delaware, she’s changed her name to Destiny Davis, and has started a whole new life. In fact, she’s beginning to think she’s safe from the killer hunting for her. Then she meets her gorgeous neighbor, and it’s an instant chemistry that sets her reeling.
Building contractor Duane Urban doesn’t bring his sexy new neighbor a cup of sugar—he offers to help repair her house. And the more he’s on the premises the better it feels just to be near her. But it doesn’t take long to figure out that Destiny is hiding something. And while Destiny sees the promise of a new future, her past is coming back with a vengeance.
This is the edition of the 2005 BET Arabesque printed release with added scenes.
Destiny in Disguise edition by Angie Daniels Literature Fiction eBooks
I just thought this book took way too long to get going. Destiny and Duane skated around each other for so long, at a certain point I didn't think they were actually going to get together. It took about 55% of the way through the book for them to even have a love scene. I also thought the love scenes were extremely blah. There was just no real passion behind them. After reading previous Angie Daniels books that was really shocking to me. The really only interesting part of the book was nearly the end, when the people chasing Destiny finally found her. I thought the author had a real opportunity to make this book semi thrilling since Destiny was on the run.I was also extremely disappointed when I got to the last page which is the note from the author which said the book was originally published in 2005. This should really be mentioned under the product details on the books page. Had I known this before purchasing I wouldn't have bought this book.

Destiny in Disguise edition by Angie Daniels Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Angie Daniels knows how to bring sexual tension to a story. This book may not have been one of my favorites by her, but it was still a good read (3.5 stars).
I love this book. This was the first book I read by Ms. Daniels, but definitely not the last. EXCELLENT PIECE OF WORK...when I read this book I couldn't put it down. I bought the hard copy, and I read it so much that the book will not close. So I had to purchase the book here on . I have read this book a total of 10 times...never gets boring.
You knew what was going to happen by the 2nd chapter maybe the longer version was better enjoyed some of her other books which is why I bought this one
Not sure how I missed the 1st release of this book, but I truly enjoyed it. The passion seemed to float off the pages. A must read for the romantic at heart!
I never really felt like I knew either lead character well so I was not invested in their relationship, it was just ok.
This was definitely destiny with Duane & Desiree aka Destiny finding love after they both had gone through their own drama. The story was very intense @ Times even though it took a long time to reach the ending. Ms. Daniels books always promise good reading excitement!
Unlike other viewers I really enjoyed this book. The time that it took the characters to get together was realistic, in some novels the characters are sleeping together after just meeting. Over all I thought it was a good suspense romance novel. Ms. Daniel's built the story instead of rushing it and I appreciate her for it.
It was worth my time and the money I paid for it. I loved the chemistry between Duane and Destiny.
